Teacher's Assistant/ Bus Driver

Our Broach Tampa High School, Tampa, Florida, has an immediate opening for a Teacher’s Aide/ Bus Driver. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about education and have a heartfelt desire to work with students to help them succeed in achieving their individual goals.

General Summary of the Job:
This position entails morning pick up of students and afternoon drop off, driving for Field Trips and other school activities with a 22 passenger bus.

During school hours this person will provide assistance to the Teacher in all aspects of managing classroom activities and student behavior. Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Maintains school records, grade books, attendance roster, lesson plans, and academic progress for each student.
• Assists in developing and implementing lesson plans and administering examinations.
• Monitors and appropriately manages student behavior within policy guidelines.
• Assists students with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts.
• Maintains classroom materials, texts, equipment, and furniture inventories.
• Ensures a neat, clean, appropriately decorated classroom environment, conducive to learning.
• Attends and participates in School functions, meetings, or activities as needed.
• Performs Substitute Teacher duties and responsibilities as requested.

Requirements:
CDL License with a passenger endorsement.

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One or more years of related experience in education or training in the care and/or education of children.
